Through an amazing series of mistakes and accidents, hapless “wanna-be” Opera singer “Max” finds himself having to take the stage in place of the world-famous Tenor “Tito Merelli,” whom Max and his boss, Impresario “Saunders,” have mistakenly thought was dead!

When Merelli – who is far from deceased – recovers his senses and gets himself into his costume and makeup for the famous role of Pagliacci, perfectly matching Max’s, the confusion is just beginning.
